How is a building perceived when described poetically? What do poetry and architecture have in common when it comes to constructing meaning? What distinctive features emerge when approached from within or outside a territory, from within or outside a language?<\/h5>\n

On 1 October, Horacio’s Lantern will host this symposium where the judges of the \u2018Micropoemas de Punta a Punta<\/strong>\u2019 competition, organised by the OPEN Architecture Festival, Escuela de Escritores and Bizna Estudio, in collaboration with the Punta Bego\u00f1a Foundation, are invited to this symposium to discuss these and other issues, each from their own field of expertise. These are the members of the jury:<\/p>\n

Mar\u00eda Bengoa:<\/h6>\n

Writer, journalist and author of short story collections and several novels, including El mar de Arrigunaga<\/em> \u2013 the moving account of Ramiro Pinilla\u2019s childhood and youth \u2013 and Las damiselas y el escritor<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Jorge Dioni L\u00f3pez:<\/h6>\n

Poet, writer and journalist, renowned for his essays on urban planning and society, such as La Espa\u00f1a de las piscinas<\/em> and El malestar de las ciudades.<\/em><\/p>\n

Idoia Carrami\u00f1ana:<\/h6>\n

Poet and translator, author of the bilingual poetry collection Bi<\/em> and a graduate in Basque philology, who is dedicated to teaching and research on the Basque language and has also participated as a translator in the competition.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To conclude the discussion, there will be a poetry reading of the winning entries from the competition, which are on display in the building, and of some poems created during the poetry workshop held on 29 September.<\/a><\/p>\n
