Over recent months, the Galleries have served as a venue for music video recordings, album presentations, tributes, television program filming, live performances, and even the presence of prestigious music festivals.<\/strong><\/h5>\n
During the third week of January, Manuel Castillo, finalist of Tour Music Fest 2024, recorded the video clip for his song “Silencio”<\/em> at Punta Bego\u00f1a, capturing the Galleries’ locations with singular beauty.<\/h6>\n
At the end of February, EiTB Kultura will return to the Galleries to produce eight new musical pieces by prominent artists from the Basque scene.<\/h6>\n

As the restoration of the Punta Bego\u00f1a Galleries<\/a> progresses, their enormous potential as a venue for the creation, exhibition, and dissemination of diverse artistic and cultural expressions is naturally becoming evident.<\/p>\n

Without seeking it out, the process of recovery and social use of the Galleries has been filled with music.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Recently, Andalusian musician Manuel Castillo<\/a>, finalist of Tour Music Fest 2024<\/strong>, recorded the music video for his song “Silencio”<\/em> at the Galleries. He showed great interest in having Punta Bego\u00f1a serve as the setting for his music, and has portrayed this historic space with the same sensitivity that his music conveys. <\/p>\n

Eitb Kultura<\/a> has been filling Punta Bego\u00f1a with music in recent times, through performances by emerging and established artists, such as Amaia Miranda<\/strong>, Laura Sam, Mahl Kobat<\/strong>, or this January with the meeting of Ke Lepo<\/strong> with F\u00e9lix Buff, \u00c1nder M\u00fagica<\/strong>, and Txofo Wilson<\/strong>, who transformed the main hall of the Galleries into a vantage point for electronic music.<\/p>\n

The collaboration has resulted in beautiful clips broadcast on Basque public television. And a subsequent collaboration for the recording of new programs this year 2025. <\/p>\n

Shortly before, during the European Heritage Days<\/strong>, the extensive program “Zuzenean, en vivo y en directo”<\/em> reserved a prominent place for live music.<\/p>\n

The moving tribute to Kepa Junkera<\/strong> by trikitixa player Xabi Aburruzaga<\/strong>; the duet “Txoriak Txori”<\/em> between the legendary I\u00f1aki Basabe<\/strong> and Iryna Aleksichuz<\/strong>, composer, pianist, organist, and professor at the National Academy of Music of Ukraine; the performances by Tontxu Ipi\u00f1a<\/strong> or Mal\u00fa G\u00e1ray<\/strong>; the cathedral-like sound of the Biotz-Alai<\/strong> Choir; the Celtic music of Feile<\/strong>; the presentation of the song “Punta Bego\u00f1a” composed by I\u00f1aki Basabe<\/em> to the rhythm of bilbainada, as a tribute to the towns and places of the Abra de la R\u00eda.<\/p>\n

The Music Legends Festival<\/a>, which has brought true music legends to Bilbao, wanted to be present in emblematic locations in Bizkaia, and in its 2024 festival programmed performances at the Altos Hornos de Sestao and at the Punta Bego\u00f1a Galleries, in this case with a concert by McEnroe<\/strong>, at the height of a summer sunset, which sold out the venue in just a few minutes.<\/p>\n

Spanish public television also chose Punta Bego\u00f1a<\/a> for the recording of the popular program “Un pa\u00eds para escucharlo”<\/em> hosted by Ariel Roth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The group Shinova<\/strong> participated in the RTVE program broadcast in March 2024, and it can be said that they left the stage and the program “blessed,” because in recent months they have been headlining the main festivals.<\/p>\n

The Provincial Council of Bizkaia<\/strong> has also chosen Punta Bego\u00f1a for initiatives such as GIDA BIRA, gure museoak bertsotan<\/em>, with music and bertso to celebrate and normalize the Basque language. Bertso also had a fundamental presence at the recent European Heritage Days, with the exciting announcement of its candidacy for World Heritage status. <\/p>\n
