CICLO DE RADIO Y PATRIMONIO EN PUNTA BEGOÑA

“Punta Begoña, zuzenean. Live and in person”. A pioneering heritage festival with international impact.

Once again, Punta Begoña is proud to take part in the European Heritage Days, a Europe-wide initiative featuring more than 70,000 events , and thus become a vibrant meeting point.

Following the success of the 1st edition of the Radio and Heritage Cycle in 2024, “Punta Begoña, zuzenean. Live and in person 2025” will transform every Friday in October into a festival celebrating arquitecture and history, bringing together an outstanding line-up of heritage experts, researchers and enthusiasts.Throughout the festival, Punta Begoña will come alive with ideas, interviews, performances, project and work presentations, books, live music, stories, conversations, scientific discoveries, theatre, bertsos (traditional Basque improvised verse), craftsmanship and much more. And all this energy will be shared across Bizkaia, throughout Europe and beyond through radio broadcasts and digital media.

The congratulations and support received from the Council of Europe, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, our guests, participating organisations, and both our live and online audiences have encouraged us to continue working in this direction. This year, the European Heritage Days and the Radio and Heritage Series will focus on a subject that lies at the very heart of Punta Begoña : architectural Heritage and the vital role it plays in shaping a shared collective memory.

The 2025 event opens with an exceptional lineup, and throughout the festival we will be joined in person by leading figures from the worlds of science, culture, the arts, sports… Below are the first confirmed names, with many more to be announced soon.
