This event, which has a social and cultural component of collective interest, seeks to “give visibility” to a rare disease such as Leukodystrophies, raise funds for research, and contribute to improving the daily lives of those affected. This is done while promoting sport—in an open and participatory way—in the municipality and recovering the intangible historical memory of Bizkaia.
That is why, from Punta Begoña, we want to collaborate with this initiative and will host the presentation of this socially committed and charitable sporting event in our Reception Hall.
Furthermore, between June 20 and 28, beautiful banners will hang in our South Gallery in view of the large public visiting the Arriluze pier area, announcing the renowned race that marked a turning point in open water swimming.
