The prestigious BBK BILBAO Music Legends Fest has chosen Punta Begoña and the Alto Horno in Sestao as “legendary” heritage sites united by the Bilbao estuary, as venues to present its 2024 program.
As part of the festival’s “Warming Up” and following the warm-up concerts held last Saturday, May 4th in Sestao, next Friday the 24th, local band McENROE will perform at 8:00 PM at Punta Begoña, in an absolutely unique setting, within the context of a monumental restoration and with privileged views of the Cantabrian Sea and its magical sunsets at this time of year.
McENROE will offer a concert in acoustic duo format, suited to a monumental urban space with reduced capacity due to its restoration process.
The concert will be free for those interested in attending, who can register through the Fundación Punta Begoña website (www.puntabegonagetxo.eus). Places will be assigned in strict order of registration until capacity is reached.
The organizers of BBK Bilbao Music Legends Fest have chosen Punta Begoña as “one of the most significant century-old architectural works in Euskadi, for its unique location and construction”.
The selection of Punta Begoña as one of the monumental spaces chosen by BBK Bilbao Music Legends Fest to extend the festival to Bizkaia, adds to the large number of cultural and social initiatives that see the Galerías as a unique space for their development, filling it with culture, art, or educational and social activities, while its restoration progresses.
These performances in “legendary heritage sites” are the prelude to an edition of BBK Bilbao Music Legends Fest that features the legendary Deep Purple and Pretenders as headliners and will be held in Bilbao on June 14th and 15th.
